Nothing to tell about past….

7 November 2007 One Comment

After our Engagement she and her Family came to my native home;

I took her to our Farm to show around.

At that time, I asked many things about her; that was the 1st time we met and talked together.

I asked her to tell about her College life; I know she done her elementary and high school at Bombay when she was staying with her uncle home. Later came to native place for College.

I did`t asked, she had Boyfriend or not but I asked, how was the college and your Friends.

She knew it what I asked.

She said nothing to tell like… that was the hint I never understood.

Later I found out after marriage, she wanted to marry someone else and her Father forced her to marry me, when her parents found I am the suitable boy.

More shocking news I found out later after marriage was, one boy came to marry her before me, but later they rejected her, because they found out about her Past.

    Why do Indian men,such as author of post above ,OBSESS over the wife’s past? Why is the word past seen with such greedy curiosity as though to rate a woman’s worth?? Whether you are compatible,understand and love each other within your marriage and going forward is ultimately what is important.If pasts of all the men who come her and whine abt their wives’ pasts were to be checked,surely it’s not going to be as perfect as Lord Ram,will it be?

    To obsess too much about someone’s past,partner’s or one’s own,is frankly a kind of psychological disease.
