Tamarind is an inevitable part almost all the Indian dishes. There are a few items that culinary experts easily make with tamarind. Tamarind chutney is one among them. Here is the recipe to make sweet tamarind chutney that you can relish with any traditional Indian breakfast or hot rice
3 Tablespoons of tamarind pulp
2 cups of water
1 ½ Cups of white Sugar
1 Tablespoon oil
1 Teaspoon cumin seeds
1 Teaspoon ginger paste
½ Teaspoon pepper powder
½ Teaspoon fennel seeds
½ Teaspoon asafoetida powder
½ Teaspoon garam masala
How to make?
•Heat the oil in saucepan over a low flame.
•Once the oil gets hot, add cumin seeds, ginger paste, pepper powder, fennel seeds, asafoetida powder, and garam masala.
Meanwhile mix Sugar well in the water.
•Saute for two minutes.

•Also add the tamarind pulp into the spices.
•Bring to a boil, then simmer over low heat.
•After 20-30 minutes, the mixture will turn into chocolate brown colour.
