GIFT DEED

THIS GIFT DEED IS EXECUTED AT___ON THIS___DAY OF___, 2009 by Mr___ son of aged___ about___ years, residing at___ (hereinafter referred to as the DONOR which expression shall wherever the context so requires or admits, mean and include his successors, executors, administrators and assigns or anyone claiming through or under him) IN FAVOUR OF Mr___son of ___ aged about___ years, residing at ___ (hereinafter referred to as the DONEE which expression shall wherever the context so requires or admits, mean and include his/her successors, executors, administrators and assigns or anyone claiming through or under him)

WHEREAS the Donor herein, is the absolute owner of (vacant land/house/building shop etc.) bearing No___ situated at___ which is more fully described in the Schedule hereunder and hereinafter referred to as the “Schedule Property”:

WHEREAS the Donor, is desirous of gifting the schedule property to the Donee out of natural love and affection:

NOW THIS DEED WITNESSETH AS UNDER:

1. In consideration of the natural love and affection the Donor has for the Donee, the Donor hereby gifts in favour of the Donee the scheduled property hereunder absolutely and forever.

2. The Donor has this day put the Donee in actual physical possession of the schedule property and the Donee has accepted the said Gift and has taken possession of the Schedule Property, and has in token thereof signed this deed.

  1. Does a Gift Deed need registration at the same rate of stamp duty as for normal sale deed of a property esp. in UP ?
    if anyone could answer ?
