Interrogatories (Order 11, rule 4)

Interrogatories propounded on the Petitioner by the Respondent Pursuant of Code of Civil Procedure, the Respondent, , submits the following interrogatories to be answered by the above named Petitioner, , under oath. The Petitioner shall set forth the answer to the interrogatory “separately and fully in writing under oath” or “shall state fully the grounds for refusal to answer any interrogatory”. The response shall be signed by the Petitioner. Interrogatories

1. State your full name, date of birth, current telephone number, and current mailing address.

2. Describe your educational background. Include in your answer the highest grade/ qualification you completed; the name and date of any degree, diploma, or certificate you received, and the name of the institution conferring the degree, diploma, or certificate; and any specialized training you have received.

3. If you’re currently employed in any capacity, identify your employer and state your: –
a. Job Title
b. Your duties
c. The number of hours in your average work week

4. For each employment that you have had during the past seven years other than any current employment, identify each employer and for each employment state:

a. The dates of employment
b. Your duties
c. Your wages
d. Your reason for leaving the job.

5. If you were unemployed for any period of timeafter you separated from your spouse, specify the amount and source of any income that you received while unemployed.

6. Itemize the date, nature, and amounts any persons have contributed, whether directly or indirectly, to payment of any indebtedness or living expense of yours since you separated from your spouse.

7. Please list the dowry articles with their date of purchase, location of purchase &value of the article purchased which were given to Respondent and his family members “during” the marriage of the Petitioner and Respondent. A sufficient answer to this question must also include the name, address and telephone number of the donor as well as the date of the transaction on which article was handed over to the Respondent and his family members.

8. Please list the dowry moneypaid to Respondent and his family members “during” the marriage of the Petitioner and Respondent. A sufficient answer to this question must include the name, address and telephone number of the donor, the date of the transaction and the mode of payment.

9. Please list the dowry articles with their date of purchase, location of purchase &value of the article purchased which were given to Respondent and his family members “after” the marriage of the Petitioner and Respondent. A sufficient answer to this question must also include the name, address and telephone number of the donor as well as the date of the transaction on which article was handed over to the Respondent and his family members.

10.Please list the dowry moneypaid to Respondent and his family members “after” the marriage of the Petitioner and Respondent. A sufficient answer to this question must include the name, address and telephone number of the donor, the date of the transaction and the mode of payment. 11.Please list the demands of dowryarticles/ dowry money made by the Respondent and his family members “during” the marriage of the Petitioner and Respondent. Please include the date, time as well as place where these demands were made.

12.Please list the demands of dowry articles/ dowry money made by the Respondent and his family members “after” the marriage of the Petitioner and Respondent.Please include the date, time as well as place where these demands were made.

13.Please list the demands of dowry articles/ dowry money which were NOTfulfilled by the Plaintiff and her parents.

14.If you received any assets or money during the marriage by way of gift or inheritance, whose value exceeds INR 5000/- (Rupees Five Thousand Only), please identify each and every asset. A sufficient answer to this question must include the name, address and telephone number of the donor, the date of the transaction and the value of the item received/ amount of money received.

15.State the date on which you separated from your spouse and describe the circumstances of the separation.

16.State the date on which you along with your parents met Respondent in your matrimonial home. Describe the circumstances and sequence of events of that day with full details.

17.In addition to this case, if you have been involved in any legal proceedings of any kind against the Respondent or his family members, for each matter state the:

a. The type of matter and nature of the legal proceedings;
b. The names of the involved parties;
c. The date proceedings were commenced; and
d. The venue, case caption, and case number of any such proceedings.

18.If any of your family members have been involved in any legal proceedings against the Respondent or his family members, for each matter state the:

a. The type of matter and nature of the legal proceedings;
b. The names of the involved parties;
c. The date proceedings were commenced; and
d. The venue, case caption, and case number of any such proceedings.

19.Please state the following information for each witness, which you intend to call to testify at the time of trial:

a. The full legal name of the witness;
b. The contact information of the witness, including the business name (if applicable), title or position held (if applicable), mailing address, and telephone number;
c. The educational and occupational background of the witness;
d. What is the relationship between you and the witness; and
e. The general subject upon which the witness will testify.

20.Please list the date, time and location of each instance of maltreatment/ misbehavior/ physical abuse/ domestic violence that the Petitioner alleges the Respondent and his family members inflicted upon her. For each such instance, please list the following:

a. A complete description of each instance of maltreatment/misbehavior/physical abuse/domestic violence, including the date, time and locations of the incidents of abuse or violence;
b. When and to whom the Plaintiff first reported each instance of physical abuse or domestic violence;
c. Whether the Plaintiff was injured by the incident, and, if so, where she sought medical treatment;
d. Whether the police were called to the scene of the incident and, if so, whether an incident or police report was created; e. Whether the Plaintiff did anything to instigate the incident and, if so, what she did to instigate the incident;
f. Whether the Plaintiff was under the influence of any drugs, alcohol or prescription medications at the time of each incident and, if so, what substance(s) she was under the influence of at the time of the incident;
g. The name, address and work and home phone number of each witness to the incident.
