Both parties are present.
2 On 19.07.2017, on a common prayer made by the
parties, the matter was referred to the Mediation Centre. On that
occasion, petitioner No 3, husband of the complainant, had drawn the
Court’s attention to the statement made in the petition that he is
willing to keep the complainant with him as his wife. The report
dated 18.09.2017 from the Mediation Centre has been received. From
the same, it appears that after having obtained stay in the instant case,

the petitioners chose not to appear before the Mediation Centre.
3 The instant case is one under Section 498A of Indian
Penal code and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
4 In view of the conduct of the petitioners, as noticed
aforesaid, it would not be, in the interest of justice, to exercise
jurisdiction under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code in favour
of the petitioners.
5 The application is dismissed.
