213 IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA
AT CHANDIGARH

Criminal Misc. No. M-42105 of 2017 (OM)
Date of decision : November 16, 2017

Mandeep Singh …..Petitioner

Versus
State of Punjab ….Respondent
CORAM:- HON’BLE MRS. JUSTICE LISA GILL
Present: Mr. R.K. Girdhar, Advocate for the petitioner.

Mr. Saurav Khurana, DAG, Punjab.

Mr. Rahul Arora, Advocate for the complainant.
***
LISA GILL, J.

Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the

petitioner in FIR No. 189 dated 05.10.2017 under Section 354 IPC

registered at Police Station Sadar, Jalalabad, District Fazilka.

As per the allegations in the FIR, the complainant had gone to

pay obeisance at the Gurudwara Sahib. While she was taking prashad, the

petitioner sneaked up behind her, caught hold of her and started outraging

her modesty.

Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from HC

Charanjit Singh, submits that the said incident has been captured in the

CCTV footage of the Gurudwara Sahib.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case, I do

not find any ground whatsoever to afford the concession of anticipatory bail

to the petitioner.

Dismissed.
