Prayer in this petition is for quashing of FIR No. 75 dated

27.07.2016 under Sections 498A, 34 IPC registered at Police Station

Anandpur Sahib, District Roopnagar alongwith consequential proceedings

arising therefrom on the basis of a compromise arrived at between the

parties.

Parties were directed to appear before the learned trial

Court/Illaqa Magistrate for getting their statements recorded in respect to

the settlement vide order dated 02.05.2017 passed by this Court.

As per report dated 26.05.2017 received from the learned Sub

Judicial Magistrate, Sri Anandpur Sahib, it is mentioned that none of the

parties appeared for recording of their statements. It is noticed that another

opportunity was afforded to the petitioners for getting their statements

recorded vide order dated 30.05.2017.

None had appeared on behalf of the petitioners on the last date

of hearing. Sh. Gurdial Singh – father of respondent No. 2, identified by

ASI Chiranji Lal, had come present on the said date. It was submitted that

the petitioners have not come forward with the entire settled amount. The

cheque of `50,000/- handed over to respondent No. 2 was not even

honoured. The matter was adjourned for today.

Today again, there is no representation on behalf of the

petitioners. It appears that the petitioners are not interested in carrying out

the terms and conditions of the settlement.

This petition is dismissed for non-prosecution.
