In Re : Kashi Nath Sharma Ors. …… petitioners
Mr. Siladitya Sanyal, Sr. Adv.
Mr. Arnab Chatterjee
…… for the petitioners
Mr. Saswata Gopal Mukherjee, ld. PP
…… for the State
Heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective
parties.
Petitioners are the in-laws of the victim housewife and it is
submitted on behalf of the petitioners that they have been falsely
implicated in the instant case.
Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail.
We have considered the materials on record. We find that the
victim housewife committed suicide within 2½ years of marriage
and there are allegations implicating the petitioners in the torture of
the said housewife.
In view of the gravity of the offence and the prima facie
involvement of the petitioners therein, we are not inclined to grant
anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.
