Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the

petitioner in FIR No. 25 dated 27.06.2016 registered under Section 498A

IPC at Police Station City Banga, District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar.

The abovesaid FIR was registered due to matrimonial discord

between the petitioner and respondent No. 2. Learned counsel for the

petitioner and respondent No. 2 submit that the matter has been amicably

resolved between the parties. They have decided to part ways. Respondent

No. 2, it is submitted, has no objection in case this petition is allowed.

Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from HC Raj

Kumar, submits that the petitioner has joined investigation pursuant to

order dated 10.08.2016 passed by this Court.

There are no allegations on behalf of the State that the

petitioner is likely to abscond or that he is likely to dissuade the

witnesses from deposing true facts in the Court, if released on bail.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances noted above but

without expressing any opinion on the merits of case, it is considered just

and expedient to allow this petition. Consequently, order dated 10.08.2016

is made absolute.
