Section 37 – CINEMATOGRAPH (CERTIFICATION) RULES

37. Power of entry

The Chairman or any member of the Board or an advisory panel or a Regional Officer or any other officer or member of the staff of the Board or any officer of the Central Government authorized in writing by the Chairman or members or any officer or member of the staff of the Appellate Tribunal or any officer of the Central Government authorized in writing by the Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in this behalf, may enter any place licensed under the law in force relating to cinemas, in the discharge of his duties under the Act or these rules and thereupon the owner or the manager of such place shall provide him with a seat of the highest rate or the next lower class to view the film without charging the admission fee and entertainment tax.
