Am not aware much about the law , but i can give u a suggestion which may help u in long term. If ur wife is behaving in such a way pls show her to a psychiatrist .

It will reveal a lot of things which u dont know about her personality & gather proof ( medical reports for ur getting beaten ) video recording etc.for the physical abuse she is causing u which u could use in future.
