In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of
Criminal Procedure filed on 17.01.2020 in connection with Bolpur Police
Station Case No. 476 of 2014 dated 04.10.2014 under Sections
498A/302/201/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

And
In Re : Fulu Sk. ….. petitioner

Mr. Sujoy Sarkar
… for the petitioner

Mr. S. G. Mukherjee, learned P.P.
Mr. Aniket Mitra
… for the State

It is submitted by the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner

that he has been falsely implicated in the instant case.

Learned Counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for

anticipatory bail and submits that the petitioner had absconded for a

considerable period of time and he is one of conspirators to the crime.

Having considered the materials on record and in view of prima

facie involvement of the petitioner in the alleged crime and as the petitioner

had absconded for six years, we are of the opinion that this is not a fit case

to grant anticipatory bail.

2

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.
