In Re:- An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal
Procedure filed on 12.09.2019 in connection with Memari Police Station
Case No. 57 of 2019 dated 03.02.2019 under Sections
498A/Section304B/Section302/Section34 of the Indian Penal Code.

And
In Re : Abhijit Ghanti Anr. …. petitioners

Mr. Uday Sankar Chattopadhyay,
Mr. Santanu Maji,
Ms. Payel Shome
….for the petitioners

Mr. S. G. Mukherjee, learned P.P.,
Ms. Amita Gaur
….. for the State

Having considered the materials on record disclosing prima facie

involvement of the petitioners in strangulating the housewife who was in

the family way, we are of the opinion that in view of gravity of the offence

this is not a fit case to grant bail at this stage.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
