In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code
of Criminal Procedure filed on 05.08.2019 in connection with Egra Police
Station Case No. 337 of 2018 dated 13.07.2018 under Sections
498A/Section304B/Section34 of the Indian Penal Code.

And
In Re : Balaram Ojha ….. petitioner

Mr. Amal Krishna Samanta
… for the petitioner

Mr. Sudip Kumar
… for the State

Having considered the materials on record disclosing prima facie

involvement of the petitioner in torturing his wife over further demands of

dowry and as the victim suffered unnatural death within six years of

marriage, we are of the opinion that in view of gravity of the offence this is

not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.
