In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code
of Criminal Procedure filed on 22.11.2019 in connection with Polba
Police Station Case No. 147 of 2019 dated 24.09.2019 under Sections
498A/Section304B of the Indian Penal Code.

In Re : Nurjahan Bibi Ors. ….. petitioners

Ms. Sutanuka Chowdhury,
Ms. Debleena Roy
… for the petitioners

Mr. S. S. Imam,
Mr. S. Kundu
… for the State

It is submitted by the learned Counsel appearing for the

petitioners that they are the in-laws of the victim housewife and have

been falsely implicated in the instant case.

Learned Counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for

anticipatory bail.

Having considered the materials on record disclosing prima facie

involvement of the petitioners in the alleged crime and bearing in mind

the nature of allegations implicating the petitioners in torturing the

victim housewife on demands of dowry resulting in her unnatural death

within two years of marriage, we are of the opinion that this is not a fit

case to grant anticipatory bail to them.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.
