C.R.M. 5930 of 2019

In Re:- An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal
Procedure filed on 09.07.2019 in connection with Gariahat Police
Station Case No. 580 of 2012 dated 08.12.2012 under Sections
498A/Section307/Section114 of the Indian Penal Code.

In Re : Bapi Das ….. petitioner

Mr. Sujay Bandyopadhyay
… for the petitioner

Mr. Partha Pratim Das
… for the State

Having considered the materials in the case diary disclosing

prima facie involvement of the petitioner in the alleged offence and in

view of the fact that trial has substantially progressed, we are not

inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected.

However, trial court is directed to conclude the trial at an early

date preferably within six months from the date fixed for recording of

evidence without granting unnecessary evidence to either of the parties.
