Court No.28
Sl No.39
AP
CRM 1072 of 2020

In Re: An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the
Code of Criminal Procedure filed on 27.01.2020 in connection with
Shashan P.S. Case No.59/19 dated 25.05.2019 under Sections
498A/326/307 of the Indian Penal Code.

And

In Re: Mohasin Ali alias Mohasen
… … Petitioner.

Mr. Angshuman Chakraborty,
Mr. Shashanka Shekhar Saha
… for the petitioner.

Mr. Saibal Bapuli, Ld. A.P.P.,
… … for the State.

Having considered the materials on record disclosing prima

facie involvement of the petitioner i.e. father-in-law of the victim, in

torturing the victim housewife who was compelled to commit

suicide and as the petitioner does not stand on the same footing

with co-accused Amena Bibi who has been granted pre-arrest bail,

we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected.
