Heard.
Petitioner seeks transfer of a petition filed under Section 25 of
the Guardian and Wards Act, 1890, titled as “Ranjit Singh vs Navpreet
Kaur”, pending in the court of Shri Mohit Bansal, Addl. Civil Judge (Sr.
Divn.), Gurdaspur to a court of competent jurisdiction at Amritsar.
It is stated that two other cases between the parties, one under
the Protection of Women against Domestic Violence Act, 2005 and the
other criminal case, are already pending at District Courts, Amritsar.
Therefore, considering the facts and circumstances, the petition
filed under Section 25 of the Guardian and Wards Act, 1890, titled
as “Ranjit Singh vs Navpreet Kaur”, pending in the court of Shri Mohit

Bansal, Addl. Civil Judge (Sr. Divn.), Gurdaspur, is withdrawn from his
court and is transferred to the court of learned District Judge, Amritsar, who
may retain the case himself or entrust it to a court of competent jurisdiction.
As such, the present petition is allowed.
