Prayer in this petition is for quashing of FIR No. 469 dated

18.11.2016 under Sections 498A, 323, 34 IPC registered at Police

Station Pataudi, District Gurgaon and all other consequential

proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of a compromise arrived at

between the parties.

Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI

Harjeet Singh, informs that cancellation report, in this case, was

presented and the same has been accepted by the learned Sub

Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Patiala on 13.10.2017. It is, thus,

submitted that this petition has been rendered infructuous. A photocopy

of the said order alongwith statement of respondent No. 2, filed in

Court today is taken on record subject to just exceptions.

Learned counsel for respondent No. 2 submits that petition

under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act (‘the Act’ – for short),

which was pending between the parties, has been agreed to be

converted into a petition under Section 13B of the Act. The factum of

compromise between the parties is confirmed.

Present petition is, accordingly, disposed of as having been

rendered infructuous.
