The petitioners are in custody for 100 days and it is submitted that they
are the in-laws of the victim housewife and there is inordinate delay in lodging
the first information report.
Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail.
Having considered the materials in the case dairy and bearing in mind
the nature of allegations in the light of the aforesaid submissions made on
behalf of the petitioners and in view of the period of detention suffered by them
and that the investigation is complete, we are inclined to grant bail to the
petitioners.
Accordingly, we direct that the petitioners shall be released on bail
upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand only) each with
two sureties of like amount each, one of whom shall be local to the satisfaction
of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Krishnagar, Nadia, subject
to condition that the petitioners shall appear before the trial court on every date
of hearing and shall not intimidate witnesses or tamper with evidence in any
manner whatsoever.
In the event the petitioners fail to appear before the trial court, the trial
