The petitioner and the opposite party no. 2 who admittedly are legally
married couple filed a joint petition praying for quashing of proceedings of the
GR Case No. 169 of 2019 arising out of Kotulpur Police Station Case No. 32 of
2019 dated 19th March, 2019 under Sections 498A/323/506 of the Indian Penal
Code on the ground that the dispute between the parties has been amicably
settled and the parties are living a happy conjugal life together since May 25,
2019.
The complaint under Sections498A/323/506 of the Indian Penal Code was
filed by opposite party no. 2 against the present petitioner and is pending before

the learned Trial Court. As the dispute has been amicably settled and the
parties are living a happy and peaceful conjugal life together, proceeding with the
case any further shall only amount to waste of judicial hours and may impede
the compatibility between the parties.
In view of such observation, GR Case No. 169 of 2019 arising out of Kotulpur
Police Station Case No. 32 of 2019 dated 19th March, 2019 under Sections
498A/323/506 of the Indian Penal Code, pending before the learned Additional
Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bishnupur, Bankura, be quashed.
C.R.R. 2717 of 2019 and CRAN 3806 of 2019 are disposed of accordingly.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the
parties as expeditiously as possible.
