Judgments of Supreme Court of India and High Courts

Baljit Singh vs State Of Punjab And Others on 7 November, 2017

IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT
CHANDIGARH

Criminal Misc. No.M- 34583 of 2017(OM)
Date of Decision: November 7 , 2017.

Baljit Singh …… PETITIONER (s)
Versus
State of Punjab and others …… RESPONDENT (s)

CORAM:- HON’BLE MRS.JUSTICE LISA GILL

Present: Mr. J.S.Thakur, Advocate
for the petitioner.
*****
LISA GILL, J.

The petitioner is an accused in FIR No.56 dated 01.07.2017 under

Sections 406/498A IPC, registered at Police Station Gardhiwal, District

Hoshiarpur.

It is submitted that prior to the registration of the abovesaid FIR, he

had moved complaints (Annexures P1 and P3) before the police authorities

however, the investigating agency is not even looking into the same.

The matter is undeniably under investigation. No ground is made

out for any interference by this Court, at this stage, in exercise of jurisdiction

under Section 482 Cr.P.C. Needless to say, the entire aspects of the case will

necessarily be looked into by the Investigating Agency while investigating the

matter and no specific direction in this regard is called for at this stage.

Petition is accordingly disposed of.
