Judgments of Supreme Court of India and High Courts

Balwinder Singh vs Kulwant Kaur on 23 April, 2019

IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT
CHANDIGARH
111
*****
CR No. 2622 of 2019
Date of Decision : 23.4.2019

Balwinder Singh …………Petitioner
v.
Kulwant Kaur ………Respondents

CORAM : HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE KULDIP SINGH

Present : Mr. Amit Dhawan, Advocate, for the petitioner

KULDIP SINGH, J. (Oral)

The petitioner is aggrieved by the order dated 23.10.2018

(Annexure P-5) passed by the learned Additional District Judge, Jalandhar,

whereby Rs.4000/-per month as maintenance pendente lite was allowed to the

respondent/wife.

After going through the order, I am of the view that the

maintenance awarded by the trial Court is not excessive or exorbitant. There is

no illegality in the impugned order.

Learned counsel for the petitioner prayed that the case may be sent

for mediation.

It being so, the petitioner can always make the prayer before the

trial Court and if such prayer is made, the trial Court may send the case to

Mediation Centre.

Dismissed with above observation.
