ORDER

The petitioners herein are accused Nos.1 and 2 in

Crime No.666/2019 of Palakkad Town South Police Station,

Palakkad registered for offences punishable under Sections

498A read with 34 SectionIPC.

2. The instant case is registered based on the

complaint filed by the maternal uncle of the deceased

alleging that his sister’s daughter, Smt. Suja, who is married

to A1 on 10.04.2019, committed suicide at her paternal home

at Manapullikkavu on 10.09.2019 by hanging herself. It was

also revealed that she was subjected for mental and physical

torture and harassment bargaining more dowries by her

husband and in-laws driving her to commit such highhanded

act. According to the petitioner’s counsel, the deceased

committed suicide in her own house and prior to the said act,

she was residing with her parents for more than one month

without having any contact with the first petitioner.

3. Since the wife of the first petitioner had

committed suicide immediately after the marriage and since

there is an allegation on the part of the de facto

complainant’s relatives that she was mentally and physically

tortured by the petitioners, which driven her to commit

suicide, it is a matter to be investigated. So the custodial

interrogation of the petitioners are highly required in this

case.

Considering all these facts, I do hereby direct the

parties to surrender before the Station House Officer,

Palakkad Town South Police Station on or before 30.11.2019

and after interrogation they shall be produced before the

concerned jurisdictional Magistrate Court on the same day

itself. The bail application and the custody application, if any,

Magistrate expeditiously.

This Bail Application is disposed of as above.
