1 The applicant impugns the judgment and order dated 30 th

November 2019 passed by the Additional Sessions Judge, Raigad at Alibag

in Criminal Appeal No.102 of 2016 thereby confirming the judgment and

order passed by the Ad-hoc Assistant Sessions Judge at Raigad on 8 th

November 2016 thereby confirming the conviction for the offences

punishable under sections 498A and 306 of the Indian Penal Code. It is

the case of the prosecution that on 23rd February 2014 the wife of the

applicant had died due to drowning. The same is corroborated by PW4 Dr.

Dontade who had performed autopsy on the dead body of the deceased

Manda. The learned counsel submits that the evidence on record has not

been appreciated in its proper perspective. The same can be decided at the

time of final hearing. Admit.
