Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the
petitioner in FIR No. 0157 dated 06.07.2017 under Sections 406, 498A IPC
registered at Police Station Adampur, District Jalandhar.
It is submitted that the matter has been amicably resolved
between the petitioner and his wife – respondent No. 2/complainant. Both of
them are now living together in their matrimonial home in peace and
harmony. It is, thus, prayed that this petition be allowed.
Certified copy of order dated 26.09.2017 passed in petition
under Section 9 of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 filed by the petitioner,
produced in Court today is taken on record subject to just exceptions.
Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from HC
Bhagwant Singh, verifies that the petitioner and the complainant are now
living together in their matrimonial home in peace and harmony after an
amicable resolution of the dispute between them. The petitioner is not
reported to be involved in any criminal case.

There are no allegations on behalf of the State that the
petitioner is likely to abscond if released on bail.
Keeping in view the facts and circumstances noted above but
without expressing any opinion on the merits of case, it is considered just
and expedient to allow this petition. In the event of his arrest, petitioner
shall be released on bail to the satisfaction of Investigating Officer/
Arresting officer. He shall appear before the Investigating agency as and
when required. Petitioner shall comply with the conditions stipulated in
Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
