Petitioner has preferred the instant petition under Section 438

Cr.P.C., for grant of pre-arrest bail in case FIR No.68 dated 30.11.2018

registered under Sections 498-A, Section323, Section34 IPC and Section 406 IPC added

later on at Police Station Talwara, District Hoshiarpur.

The matter has already been settled through mediation before

District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur. Settlement/Cormpromise

dated 21.02.2019 has already been remitted in this Court. An amount of

Rs.1,00,000/- has already been paid to the complainant. Counsel for the

complainant also confirmed the factum of compromise.

Learned State counsel has stated that the petitioner has joined

the investigation, nothing is to be recovered from him and he is no more

required for custodial interrogation.

In the circumstances, without going into the merits of the case,

I do not deem it appropriate to deny the concession of anticipatory bail to

the petitioner in the present case.

Resultantly, the interim order dated 08.02.2019 is made

absolute subject to the conditions as envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.

Petition stands allowed.
