3. Vide the present petition, petitioner seeks direction thereby directing

the trial Court to decide case bearing CR No. 13852/2016 and FIR No.

CRL.M.C. 474/2020 Page 1 of 3
841/2014, Police Station – Krishna Nagar pending in the Court of learned

Metropolitan Magistrate, Mahila Court (East) Karkardooma Courts, Delhi

expeditiously within a time frame.

4. Facts of the case are that on 22.11.2014, a case bearing FIR No.

841/14 was registered at Police Station – Krishna Nagar, East Delhi for the

offences punishable under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC on complaint of the

petitioner. After investigation, the police filed charge-sheet on 08.08.2016.

After taking cognizance on the charge-sheet on 06.01.2017, Trial Court put

up the matter for argument on charge. Thereafter, the case was listed on

many dates i.e. 16.03.2017, 19.05.2017, 04.08.2017, 07.03.2018,

17.05.2018, 22.06.2018, 06.07.2018, 29.09.2018 for arguments on charge.

However, the same was adjourned for one or the other reason despite the

fact that a period of more than 4 years has passed. Finally, on 01.10.2018,

the Trial Court heard the arguments on charge and put up the matter for

further proceedings on 03.01.2019.

5. Fact remains that till date, charges have not yet been framed against

the respondents.

6. Keeping in view the averments made in the petition and the facts

mentioned above, I hereby direct the trial Court to frame the charges on the

next date of hearing or within two weeks thereafter. Further, this Court

expects the trial Court to expedite the trial.

7. In view of the above petition is disposed of.
