Heard.
The petitioner who is juvenile was held guilty of committing
wrongful acts punishable under Section 377 IPC and Section 4 of
POCSO Act and was directed to be sent to Observation Home, Faridabad
for 3 years. He filed appeal against the order of the trial court which was
dismissed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Mewat.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the matter has
since been amicably settled and has placed on file the compromise
(Annexure P-1) which is duly signed by Rafiq, father of the petitioner and
Hanif father of victim-who is also minor.

The petitioner has remained in Observation Home for a
period of 7 months and 15 days as per the certificate filed by
Superintendent, Special Home, Sonepat which is taken on record.
Keeping in view the fact that the petitioner was a juvenile
and the matter has been amicably settled, the period for keeping the
petitioner in Observation Home is reduced from 3 years to the period for
which he has been kept in Observation till now.
The petition is disposed of in above terms.
A copy of this order be conveyed to the Superintendent,
Special Home, Sonepat.
