ORAL JUDGMENT

This application under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for
quashing the order dated 02.01.2013 passed in Complaint Case
No.620 of 2012 whereby the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate,
Kaimur at Bhabua, has taken cognizance for the offences under
Sections 498A of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 of the
Dowry Prohibition Act.
2. Submission of learned counsel for the petitioners
is that the parties have entered into a compromise and the
informant has prayed before the Court-below to drop the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.20169 of 2015 dt.17-07-2019

proceeding in pursuance of compromise. The written
compromise petition is at Annexure-4 to the supplementary
affidavit.
3. Considering the compromise between the
parties, further continuance of the proceeding before the Court-
below would amount to an abuse of the process of the Court.
Hence, the entire criminal proceeding against the petitioners
stands quashed and the application stands allowed.
