1 The present applications are presented through Jail.
The applicant is aggrieved by the Judgment passed by the
learned Additional Sessions Judge, Kolhapur in Sessions Case
No.9 of 2011 and the present applicant was arraigned as an
accused for the offences punishable under section 498A, 306 of
the India Penal Code (IPC). The learned Sessions Judge had

convicted him for an offence punishable under Section 306 of
the IPC and also for the offence punishable under Section 498A
of the IPC. Being aggrieved, the applicant has preferred an
Appeal. Criminal Application No.1448 of 2018 is filed seeking
legal assistance through the Legal Aid Panel. There is another
application which is filed seeking bail and suspension of
sentence.
2 Since the application is received through jail and
the applicant seeks legal assistance, let the Legal Aid Services
Authority provide a counsel from the Legal Aid Panel to the
applicant. Necessary papers also be supplied to him within a
period of one week and applicant be intimated of appointment
of such a counsel. On appointment of such a counsel, Appeal
and Application for bail would be considered on the next date
of hearing.
