ORDER

Annapoorneshwari Nagar Police, Bengaluru City,

have charge sheeted the petitioner in Crime

No.157/2018 of their Police Station for the offences

punishable under Sections 498A and 307 of IPC.

2. It is alleged that, petitioner was suspecting the

fidelity of his wife CW-4 and harassing her physically

and mentally. It is further alleged that in that

background on 6.5.2018 at 10.00 p.m., he assaulted

CW-4 with knife and attempted to commit her murder

and caused her grievous injuries.

3. The victim’s mother in her statement has stated

that CW-4 was married to one Puttaraju earlier and a

child was born out of the said wedlock. The alleged

marriage of petitioner and victim itself is in issue. The

victim has recovered. The incriminating material is

already seized. The charge sheet is also filed. Under

these circumstances, it is a fit case to grant bail with

stringent conditions. Therefore, the petition is allowed.

Petitioner is granted bail in Crime No.157/2018 of

Annapoorneshwari Nagar Police Station, Bengaluru

City, subject to the following conditions:

1) The petitioner shall execute personal
bond in a sum of Rs.50,000/- and
furnish one surety in the like-sum to the
satisfaction of the concerned Court for
his appearance;

2) He shall appear before the Court as and
when required for the purpose of trial;

3) He shall not tamper the prosecution
witnesses in any manner;

4) He shall mark his attendance before the
Investigating Officer on alternative
Sunday of each month till the evidence
of CW-4 is completed.
