the Code of Criminal Procedure filed on 17.05.2018 in connection
with Amta P. S. Case No.511 of 2017 dated 18.11.2017 under
Sections 498A/304B/306/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Heard the learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the
petitioner and the State.
It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that she is the
sister-in-law of the victim housewife and has been falsely
implicated in the instant case. It is also submitted that the victim
had committed suicide in her parental home.
Learned Advocate appearing for the State produces the Case
Diary and opposes the prayer for bail.
Having considered the materials on record and bearing in
mind the extent of complicity of the petitioner in the ill-treatment
of the housewife and in view of the contradictory versions with
regard to the extent of complicity of the petitioner in the torture of
the housewife on the day prior to the incident as transpiring from
the first information report and the subsequent statement of the
defacto complainant, we are inclined to grant anticipatory bail to
Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the
petitioner, namely, Priyanka Makhal Roy shall be released on bail
upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties of like
amount to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and subject to
the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of
Criminal Procedure, 1973.
This application for anticipatory bail is, thus, disposed of.
