Present revision petition is directed against the order dated

04.05.2017, whereby petitioner has been directed in application filed by the

wife for maintenance pendente lite under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage

Act to pay Rs. 6,000/-.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that both the

children are living with the petitioner and he has to take care of their

maintenance as his income is about Rs.30,000/- per month, whereas

respondent-wife is earning Rs. 15,000/-, therefore, the amount of

maintenance pendente lite is on the higher side.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the

paper book.

The factum regarding children living with the petitioner is not

controverted. As regards the income of the wife and husband, in my view,

the amount of maintenance pendente lite to the tune of Rs. 6,000/- per

month is on the higher side, the same is ordered to be reduced to Rs. 3,000/-

per month.

The impugned order is modified accordingly and present

revision petition stands disposed of.
