This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the

respondents to impound and cancel/revoke the passports and travel documents of

the accused in FIR No.87 dated 01.07.2014, under Sections 323/406/420/294/

354/498A/506/120B IPC registered at Police Station Raipur Rani, District

Panchkula.

Learned counsel for the petitioner informs that two of the accused

i.e., parents-in-law and one of the sisters-in-law, stand acquitted in the said FIR

and Kuldeep Singh – husband, Sandeep and Gurdeep Singh – brothers-in-law as

well as Renu – sister-in-law of the petitioner, have been declared proclaimed

offenders.

Learned counsel for respondents No.1 and 3 while referring to

affidavit dated 25.07.2019 of Mr. Amit Kumar Rawat, Deputy Passport Officer,

Regional Passport Office, Chandigarh, submits that the process for impounding

the passport of Kuldeep Singh, initiated on 18.07.2019, would be taken to its

logical end. It is further submitted that the necessary details in respect to

Sandeep, Gurdeep Singh and Renu have not been furnished by the petitioner. In

case, the same are furnished by the petitioner, necessary action in this regard

shall also be taken.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the necessary details

in respect to the other persons shall be furnished by the petitioner within two

months. Needless to say, necessary action in terms of affidavit dated 25.07.2019,

be then taken by the authorities.

In view of the above, no further directions are required to be passed.

Petition is accordingly disposed of.
