ORDER

This is a proceedings instituted under Section 482 of

the Code of Criminal Procedure for quashing the final report in

C.C. No.350 of 2013 on the files of the Court of the Judicial

Magistrate of the first class, Ramankary. The case is one

instituted upon a police report registered for offences under

Sections 420, 406, 498A read with Section 34 of the Indian

Penal Code. The petitioner is the de facto complainant in the

case. The accused in the case are the husband, mother-in-law,

sister-in-law and the husband of the sister-in-law respectively of

the de facto complainant. The accusation in the case in essence

is that the accused have subjected the de facto complainant to

cruelty when they were residing together. This Crl.M.C. is filed

stating that the petitioner has settled the dispute with the

accused and she does not want to pursue the matter anymore.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as

also the learned Public Prosecutor.

3. Insofar as the offences alleged are offences

punishable under Sections 420, 406, 498A read with Section 34

of the Indian Penal Code, and insofar as the de facto

complainant herself has approached this court for quashing the

proceedings, I deem it appropriate to quash the proceedings.

In the result, the Criminal M.C. is allowed and all

further proceedings in C.C. No.350 of 2013 on the files of the

Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, Ramankary are quashed.
