IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY
CRIMINAL APPELLATE JURISDICTION
CRIMINAL PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION NO. 34 OF 2018
Sanjay Ramesh Bhalerao and ors. ….Petitioners
versus
The State of Maharashtra and ors. ….Respondents

None for the petitioner.
Mrs. P. P. Shinde, APP for the State.

CORAM : RANJIT MORE
SURENDRA P. TAVADE, JJ.

DATE : 30th JANUARY, 2020.

P. C. :

None appears for the petitioners. We have heard Mrs. Shinde,

learned APP for the State.

2. In our opinion, perusal of the petition makes it clear that the

grievance raised in the petition is not in public interest. The grievance of

the petitioners is regarding registration of FIR for offence punishable

under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, at the instance of

respondent No.6-wife of the petitioner No.2. We are not inclined to

entertain this petition. Since the advocate for the petitioners is not present

today, by way of indulgence to him, we defer the hearing of the PIL till

5th February, 2020.
