Court No.28
Sl No.67
AP
CRM 1542 of 2020
In Re: An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the
Code of Criminal Procedure filed on 11.02.2020 in connection with
Murshidabad P.S. Case No.677 of 2019 dated 22.11.2019 under
Sections 498A/304B of the Indian Penal Code.

And
In Re: Saira Bibi @ Tunu @ Saira
… … Petitioner.

Mr. D. Samanta
… for the petitioner.

Mr. A. Ganguly,
Mr. S.K. Dan
… … for the State.

Having considered the materials on record disclosing prima

facie involvement of the petitioner in torturing the victim housewife

who committed suicide within four years of marriage and in view of

the gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory

bail to the petitioner.

The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected.
