This Criminal petition is filed under Section 439 of
Cr.P.C., praying to enlarge the petitioner on bail in the
event of his arrest in Crime No.21/2017 of K.R.Pet Rural

Police Station, Mandya District for the offences P/U/Ss
498A, 504, 306, 143 r/w 149 of IPC.

This petition coming on for Orders, this day, the
Court made the following:

ORDER

The respondent-police have registered a F.I.R. against

the petitioner and his family members in respect of the

offences under Sections 498A, 504, 306, 143 read with 149

of IPC in their Crime No.21/2017.

2. The allegation is that the deceased Latha was married

to the petitioner and they have two issues from the

marriage. For the last two years accused persons i.e.

husband and in-laws of the deceased were harassing the

deceased, by insisting her to get money from her parents’

house. Agonized their tortures the deceased committed

suicide by setting herself ablaze on 15.01.2017 and expired

while under treatment in the hospital on 16.01.2017.

3. As per the submission at the Bar, on completion of

investigation charge sheet is filed in respect the offence

under Section 306 of IPC.

4. Having regard to the nature of allegation and since

the charge sheet is filed, there is no impediment to allow

the petition. Accordingly, petition is allowed. Petitioner is

ordered to be released on bail on his executing self bond for

a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with one surety for the like sum to

the satisfaction of the concerned Court, subject to the

condition that he shall attend the Court regularly and shall

not threaten or tamper the prosecution witnesses in any

manner.
