Mr. Bidyut Kr. Roy, learned counsel who usually appears for State is
requested to represent the State in this matter alongwith Mr. A. Manna, learned
advocate. Their appointment shall be regularized by the Office of the Public
Prosecutor.
The revisionist seeks expeditious disposal of the proceedings in G.R.
case No. 3499/2015 corresponding to Madhyamgram Police Station case No.
771/15 dated 25.12.2015 under Sections 498A/Section406/Section506 of the Indian Penal Code
pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Court, Barasat, North 24
Parganas. The proceedings are pending since 2015 and no serious progress has
been made.
In such circumstances, the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Court,
Barasat, North 24 Parganas shall mandatorily and positively dispose of the said
proceedings within a period of four months from the date of communication of the
copy of this order. The learned court below shall conduct the hearing on a day to
day basis in terms of Section 309 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
With the above observations, the instant criminal revisional application
stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
The revisionist shall serve notice on the State through the Office of the
learned Public Prosecutor and the opposite parties concerned by Speed Post with

acknowledgement due and shall file affidavit of service on the next date of hearing.
Urgent certified photostat copy of this order, if applied for, shall be given
to the parties as expeditiously as possible on compliance of all necessary formalities.
