It is submitted by the parties that charge sheet was filed under

Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code and under Sections

3 / 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act and they have amicably resolved

their matrimonial dispute wherefrom the impugned criminal

proceeding has arisen.

Joint petition of compromise is filed.

Report is filed on behalf of the Investigating Agency endorsing

such fact and the same is taken on record.

Having considered the averments made in CRAN 1678 of 2017

and the fact that such plea is endorsed by the Investigating Agency, I

am of the opinion that continuation of the impugned proceeding is an

abuse of the process of court and is liable to be quashed.

Accordingly, the impugned proceeding being G.R. Case No.

6031 of 2015 pending before learned Additional Chief Judicial

Magistrate, Baruipur arising out of Baruipur P.S. Case No.1665 of

2016 dated 24.9.2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian

Penal Code and Sections 3 / 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act stands


The revision petition along with the application are disposed of.
