Mr. Swapan Banerjee, learned counsel who usually appears for State is
requested to represent the State in this matter. His appointment shall be regularized
by the Office of the Public Prosecutor. He may be served with a copy of the main
revisional application.
The revisionist and the opposite party wife have filed a joint application
before this court indicating that they have settled their grievances by amicably and
have no further disputes and differences with each other.
It is further submitted that there is a joint application for divorce by
mutual consent under Section 13B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1956.
In view of the aforesaid, let the proceedings being ACGR-2534/16 now
pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 6th Court, Alipore, South 24
Parganas under Sections 498A/Section406/Section34 of the Indian Penal Code arising out of
Garfa Police Station Case No. 132/2016 dated 05.05.2016 08.05.2016 shall stand
quashed and set aside in so far as the revisionist husband is concerned.
It is submitted that there is a separate Criminal Revisional application
pending in respect of the same proceedings against the mother-in-law and father-in-
law being CRR 2963/2019.

With the aforesaid observations, the application being CRAN 2962 of
2019 stands allowed and disposed of. In view of the above, the instant Revisional
Application also stands disposed of.
There will be no order as to costs.
Urgent certified photostat copy of this order, if applied for, shall be given
to the parties as expeditiously as possible on compliance of all necessary formalities.
