C.O. 4066 of 2019
Sri Partha Chakrabarti.
Vs.
Smt. Tamali Chakrabarti.
Mr. Rajendra Banerjee,
Mr. Rama Chakraborty Mukherjee,
Mr. Subhendu Roychoudhury.
… for the petitioner.
This is an application for expeditious hearing of Matrimonial Suit No.2135 of 2017
pending before the learned District Judge at Alipore. It is the contention of the petitioner
that the respondent-wife in the matrimonial suit has been praying adjournments one after
the other and has not yet filed the written statement although, the matrimonial suit was
filed in 2017. It is further stated that an application filed by the wife-opposite party for
maintenance pendente lite is also pending for hearing before the learned court below.
Under such circumstances, in my opinion justice would be sub-served if request is
made upon the learned District Judge at Alipore to dispose of the interlocutory application
filed by the wife for maintenance pendente lite preferably within a period of two months
from the date of communication of this order, and, thereafter, if the petitioner-husband
continues to pay the maintenance pendente lite as directed by the learned Court, efforts
should be made to dispose of the Matrimonial Suit No.2135 of 2017 as expeditiously as
possible preferably within a year from the date of communication of this order.
The petitioner is directed to serve copies of this revisional application upon the
opposite parties along with a server copy of this order.
The revisional application is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties
as expeditiously as possible upon complying with all usual formalities.
