The writ petitioners are the senior citizens and suffering
from ailments. They complain that they have been constantly
harassed by the son and daughter-in-law who reside in the ground
floor of the said premises.
The petitioner has lodged a complaint with the Belghoria
Police Station, Barrackpore Police Commissionerate and that no steps
have been taken by the Police in this regard.
The State submits that they have not only registered the
F.I.R. in respect of the complaint of the petitioners but have also
arrested the son and daughter-in-law, private respondents who are
stated to have been released on bail. Let the investigation into such
F.I.R. be completed as expeditiously as possible. The son and
daughter-in-law are stated to have lodged a compliant under Section
498A of the Indian Penal Code against the writ petitioners, one of
whom is bed-ridden.
It is made clear and specifically directed to the Officer-in-
Charge, Belghoria Police Station that, in the event of receipt of a

single further complaint from the petitioners, the private respondents,
the son and the daughter-in-law shall be physically escorted out of
the residence and shall not enter the same again.
The Officer-in-Charge of the concerned Police Station is
requested to maintain a vigil of the said premises. Let the
investigation in which the F.I.R. lodged by the writ petitioners be
completed as expeditiously as possible but preferably within a period
of two months from the date of communication of the copy of this
order.
With the above observations, the instant writ application
stands disposed of.
There will be no order as to costs.
Urgent certified photostat copy of this order, if applied for,
shall be given to the parties as expeditiously as possible on
compliance of all necessary formalities.
