24/07/2018 in connection with Baguiati P.S. No. 760
of 2017 dated 27/11/2017 under Sections
gd 498A/323/307 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections
3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The petitioners seek anticipatory bail in connection with
Baguiati P.S. Case No. 760 of 2017 dated 27/11/2017 under
Sections 498A/323/307 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3/4
of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
The petitioners are the father-in-law and mother-in-law,
respectively of the de facto complainant.
According to the petitioners, they have been needlessly
dragged in though their son and his wife set up home in Rajarhat
and the petitioners stay in Nadia.
The State produces the case diary. There are no allegations
against the petitioners herein of assaulting the de facto complainant
or trying to kill her. Such allegations are levelled against the
husband of the de facto complainant.
Accordingly, in the event of arrest, the petitioners are
directed to be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of
Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each, with two sureties of
Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand Only) each, one of whom must be
local, to the satisfaction of the Investigating Officer, subject to the
