The petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 got married on 28.06.2009 as

per Hindu rites and rituals. On 28.08.2013, respondent no.2 lodged FIR for

the offences mentioned above against the petitioners.

The present petition is filed on the ground that the parties have settled

their disputes and the respondent no.2 submits that she has received the

settlement amount and has no objection if the present petition is allowed.

The complainant/respondent no.2 is present in person and has been

identified by ASI Sugam Singh at Police Station Mangol Puri and she does

not wish to prosecute the matter any further.

Taking into account the aforesaid facts, this Court is inclined to quash

the concerned FIR as no useful purpose would be served in prosecuting the

petitioners any further.

For the reasons afore-recorded, the FIR No. 520/2013 dated

28.08.2013 registered at Police Station Mangol Puri instituted for the

offences punishable under Sections 498A/Section406/Section34 of the IPC and consequent

proceedings are quashed.

The petition is allowed and disposed of accordingly.

Pending application also stands disposed of.
