The Central Motor Vehicles Rules,1989
Section 75. State register of motor vehicles
(1) Each State Government shall maintain a State register of motor vehicles in respect of motor vehicles registered in the State in Form 41.
(2) Each 1[State Government shall, if so desired by the Central Government] send to the Director (Transport Research), Ministry of Surface Transport, New Delhi, a printed copy of the register referred to in sub-rule (1).
