1. Omitted by Act 62 of 2002, sec 15 Prior to omission section 18A read as: “18A Vacancy in the office of the President.- When the office of the President of the District Forum or of the State Commission, as the case may be, is vacant or when any such President is, by reason of absence or otherwise, unable to perform the duties of his office, the duties of theoffice shall be performed by such person, who is qualified to be appointed as President of the District Forum or, as the case may be, of the State Commission, as the State Government may appoint for the purpose” (Ins. by Act 34 of 1991, sec. 3 (w.e.f. 15-6-1991).
