The Prison Act,1894

Section 32. Restriction on transfer of food and clothing between certain prisoners

No part of any food, clothing, bedding or the necessaries belonging to any civil or unconvicted criminal prisoner shall be given, hired or sold to any other prisoner ; and any prisoner transgressing the provisions of this section shall lose the privilege of purchasing food or receiving it from private sources, for such time as the Superintendent thinks proper.
