The State of Mizoram Act,1986
Section 42. Amendment of Act 84 of 1971
On and from the appointed day, in the North-Eastern Council Act,1971,-
(a) In section 2, for clauses (b) and (c), the following clauses shall be substituted, namely:-
‘(b) “North-eastern area” means the area comprising the State of Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura and the Union territory of Arunachal Pradesh;
(c) “State” includes the Union territory of Arunachal Pradesh;
(a) For clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 3, the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-
“(b) The Chief Ministers of the States of Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura and of the Union territory of Arunachal Pradesh;.
